I was thinking about the year yesterday and I woke up early today to scribble a poem idea down. I haven't been able to write since my Grandma passed away so it made me happy to feel inspired to write something.
As 2013 comes to an end
And I reflect on the year
There have been fun times
lots of concerts
I've met all of my favourite singers
and many of my dreams have been realised
The year has also brought sad times
I lost both of my grandparents
one very recent
and I miss them dearly
My Dad's health is worsening quickly
So it's been a year of ups and downs
That's the way life always seems to be
Still, I will look forward to 2014
I will continue to dream and plan to make my dreams come true
I will make the most of the good times
And try to find peace during the bad times
And I will do my best to accept the things that I cannot change
