More Fire Poems

I've fallen in love with this watercolour painting by Maurice Stevens (See his website: http://www.mauricestevens.co.uk/) I just love the colours. Anyway I wrote a poem about the West Pier in Brighton.

The West Pier burns
Decrepit and old
A metal ruin
Though still beautiful

Other poems:

Cheeks on fire
Hot
Shyness
Appearing
Once again
To make life difficult.

Fear burns bright
In my chest
My breath quickens
And my hands become clammy
Only your touch
Soothes me.
